Our PM had more than enough of sleeping..

The International Global Peace Forum is organized for the purpose of ‘waking us up’. We’ve had enough of sleeping, Malaysia has had enough of sleeping, our Prime Minister, especially, has had more than enough of sleeping.

It’s time for us to wake up and wake the whole world up. It’s time to face reality, and deal with it.

Today is the second day of this three-day event. And today, by talking to the people involved in this event, that is, the organizer, the speakers, the participants and the volunteers, I have no doubt that the forum has succeeded in serving its purpose and points are taken - seriously.

The seats weren’t enough on the first day, and the seats were full, today. The participants couldn’t get enough of the Q&A. We could see the people from all over the world attending this forum which is an evidence in itself that the whole world, despite of our differences in religion, races, languages and culture, we share the same hope – World Peace!

Some say, you wouldn’t know how much something means to you until you lost it. So, how do you make people who live in peace, appreciate peace? Peace is not something anybody would trade even for a good lesson in life.

Therefore, the only way to make us (the people who live in peace) appreciate peace, the truth of the opposite of peace has to be exposed – that is ‘war’. And that is what the exhibition of ‘Expose War Crime’ is all about.

The exhibition takes you through hell. And bear in mind that this hell exists, right here, in our own world – not the ‘after-world’. The people living in this hell or had lived through this hell are real people.

People like you and me, with mothers and fathers and grandparents and children. They are not actors or actresses putting up a good act on the News. Their pains are real, their tears are real, every drop of their blood is real! Their cry for help is real.

Why didn’t we hear them?

I had a hard time breathing as I went through this ‘hell’. When I came out from the exhibition hall, I found my knees weak, my eyes watery and my hands hurt because I was squeezing my own hands too tightly without realizing it.

I’m not a daydreamer nor am I an overslept person, but the exhibition, the talks, the courage and the faith that I witnessed in the speakers, somehow, woke me up. I mean, really woke me up.

I realize that constructing peace in Palestine, Iraq or anywhere else in the world is not just a dream. It can be made real by you and I. We can and we should because, this hell (Palestine or Iraq) is not a place in another world or a place in the after-world. This hell, is just over there, around the corner.

It’s not impossible to hope for peace towards them. It’s not crazy to believe that peace would be achieved, someday, through OUR contribution.

Malaysian, being so used to living in peace, we tend to think of those who are willing to sacrifice their comfortable lives for the sake of saving those ‘far-far-away’ are the act of nuts.

Malaysian are so often being caught saying, we have so much problems ourselves, right here in this country, so why do we need to bother about other people’s problem so much?

We can’t do anything anyway, we can’t make a different, we can’t make Bush see, so might as well we close our eyes and ears and continue our peaceful lives. Yes, we pity them, but who or what are we compared to the missiles and the most advanced weapons?

Since there’s not much to worry about in Malaysia (except for these past three years), Malaysians have develop a character of worrying about petty things, for example, what the women wear, how to make polygamy acceptable by all Malaysian women or simply what Mawi is doing today?

It is such a shame to be thinking about these ‘problems’ when the Former UN Asst. Secretary General had exposed to us the conspiracy and the plans of the superpower to ‘own’ the world.

It is a shame to be thinking about polygamy or Mawi when the Doctors and Specialists of chemical weapons have exposed the result of what these weapons can and is doing to us.

It is unthinkable that we could actually be worried about nothing when so many of our brothers and sisters are suffering.

I hereby would like to call upon all Malaysians to wake up with me. Peace is not to be taken for granted. World without peace is nothing but hell and those who turns the world into hell, belongs in hell.

They are not heroes, they are criminals, they are sinners, and they must be punished. They must be punished so that nobody would dare to relive the sins and the crimes.

May peace be upon us all! Visit Expose War Crime Exhibition! (By Nihaz Mohd Yusoff) - mr
